Fallen Stars Forgotten, a post hard core meets punk rock local mainstay began as a spontaneous side project for lead singer Eric Farnsworth and bassist James Dean. Ghostly remnants are all that remains of smalltime local bands Average Hero, Oblique and Break One Nine, the original bands of FSF's four members. Way back in 2002 no one could forecast the results of a barely organized side project for Dean and Farnsworth. With slow beginnings FSF first hailed in the music scene nearly a year after the initial meeting between Dean and Farnsworth. Both preoccupied with their own bands and without a drummer. The catalyst of change came with Eric's news of a booked show but no band. Farnsworth spotted today's drummer Travis Linley, the then drummer for Break One Nine to round out the threesome for the arranged venue. A week and three songs later marked the official beginning of FSF in late August of 2002. Slowly informal jam sessions turned into a promising future and FSF turned into the focus of Dean, Farnsworth and Linley, causing both Dean and Linley to walk away from their original bands. After recording their first EP, local label Gray Music asked to release their self titled album under the label. Soon after, the band sought out a backup guitar to pair with Farnsworths intricate guitar solo's and Deans fast paced bass rifts. They turned to innovative guitarist Ryan Looman from the old Average Hero to create today's FSF style. Practically one year later FSF is taking their moody, in your face music and looking ahead to new venues and hopefully a tour which will span the majority of the western states.
